This winery was set up in 1964 by 16 founder partners as one of the old Groups of Colonization existing at that time. Later, it became an Agrarian Society of Transformation that over the years, has become one of the leading wineries of La Mancha. Currently, this Cooperative consists of 460 family members who are dedicated exclusively to the care of the vineyards. Their vineyards extend to an altitude of 2,000 feet, with limestone flat terraces, shallow low fertile soils, which combine to give the optimum conditions for the production of quality wines. The balance of soil, climate and careful viticulture, respect for the environment, and tradition result in the production of healthy grapes of excellent quality for their wines.
With almost 10,000 acres under vine, this is a very high quality operation but one with an economy of scale. Bottling to order, this last shipment of the vibrant 2010 Rosado has just arrived.
Dry rosé is produced nearly everywhere in Spain, and this Tempranillo based rendition catches your eye with its electric, cherry red color. Vinos Coloman have created a wonderfully fresh, full-bodied, seriously fun wine perfect for almost any occasion. Brimming with delicious red fruit aromas and flavors, this dry and very food friendly rosado loves a paella, appetizers, pastas and seafood of all kinds. Great with olives, jamon serrano, marcona almonds and friends, this is a great springtime wine.
