The Strauss family vineyards are located on the enormous Gamlitzberg, which is the single largest wine growing area in southern Styria and offers ideal south facing slopes for Chardonnay. This wine exhibits a beautiful nose of ripe orchard fruit (apples/pears/quince) with delicate nut and toasty nuances. The medium-bodied palate exhibits a perfect balance between ripe fruit and acidity, lovely purity and a refreshing fruit-filled finish! Rarely does one find such an outstanding rendition of un-oaked Chardonnay.
