Wimmer Zweigelt is produced by a family-owned winery. Their winemaking skill, the distinctive terroir of the region, the careful limiting the yields in their vineyards, and green harvesting all make for an exceptionally well-crafted wine. Exhibiting a dark ruby garnet color with a youthful purple rim, this wine has plenty of dark, ripe cherry notes on the nose, and loads of ripe fruit, berries and spice on the palate. A very harmonious, nicely balanced wine with ripe tannins, lots of charm and elegance. Serve with red meats like lamb, beef or game, chicken in a red wine-sauce, cheese or nuts.
