2009 Famiglia Cielo Pinot Grigio; Delle Venezie, Italy
So you say white wines don't have enough going on for your palate..well, try this if you are having seafood, light pasta salads, spicy foods or just need a wine as an aperitif. Fresh aromas of pear and citrus with a nice suggestive hint of lemon peel draw your nose into this wine. The palate is extraordinarily fresh, light to medium-bodied and pure with a hint of ripe pear skin bitterness complementing the nice ripe melon fruit flavors. The finish is long, clean and fruit-filled. With warmer weather ahead make sure you tuck this into your picnic basket.

2009 Les Vignerons Reunis "Les Petits Vigneron" Blanc; VDP du Mont Baudile, France
A deliciously dry and amply fruited wine offering a complex flavor profile that only Grenache Blanc, Ugni Blanc and Rousanne can deliver. The ripe apple, apricot, and white peach aromas and flavors are complemented by delicate nuances of the wild herbs that grow in this rugged Mediterranean coastal region. Rich exotic fruit balanced by just enough acidity make this a natural with summer salads, seafood of all types or just as an aperitif,

2007 Bodega Virgen de la Sierra "Yasa" Garnacha; Calatayud, Spain
Deep red. Suave raspberry and cherry preserve aromas are complicated by mocha, rose and cracked pepper. Fleshy, silky and sweet, with luscious red and dark berry flavors offering impressive palate coverage. We find no tannins or rough edges. This is really suave for the price, with good finishing lift and cling. Try this with a pork tenderloin or BBQ dish...perfect!
