Free Saturday Tasting: Spring Austrian Selections

Free Saturday Tasting 1-5pm.

Our very own Kate is once again back behind the bar for this week’s Free Saturday Tasting. As most of you know, we’re huge fans of Austrian wines, so this week’s line-up is a look at some of our current favorites. .

Anton Bauer Roter Veltliner 2013 $16.99 -A bright and fresh white that is rich on the palate with notes of almonds and minerals.

Meinklang Frizzante Pinot Noir Rosé 2013 $17.99 – The first vintage of this wine was produced for the winemaker’s own wedding! Softly sparkling with notes of bright red fruits and just a tiny hint of pleasant sweetness.

Familie Bauer – Rose Trocken 2014 – $15.99 for a full liter -This gulpable pink wine features a burst of fresh red berries and is produced on 17 sustainably farmed hectares in the Wagram district of Lower Austria.

Martinshof Zweigelt 2013 – $14.99 for a full liter A light and bright red that dances a great balance between red fruits and spice. Think Beaujolais of Austria! All tasting wines are 10% off by the bottle and 20% off in a case.
