Parlez-Vouz la Loire 2016 | Loire Valley, France
It's been a tough couple of years in France and the Loire Valley has had an especially tough time surviving the extreme weather conditions. With hail and frost in the winters to the scorching heat and arid unusually dry summers of late, it's been a miracle that Vignerons have been able to produce some great wines at reasonable prices.
The Parlez-Vous Cuvée of Chardonnay and Melon de Bourgogne is truly a standout and has quickly become one of our favorite whites of the summer! There's plenty of bright and zippy fruit to keep your thirst quenched but there's also a wonderful balance of rich ripe fruit that will play like a champ with any picnic fare and foods from the grill. It's packed with ripe tropical notes and hints of white flowers that breeze into a super clean palate of lemony citrus. It's a beautiful push-pull of the rich Chardonnay and the zippy Melon.
