2018 Wine Dinners

We've firmed up the dinner schedule in May and we're on to working on the food and wine pairings. We'll be tapping the amazing talents of Mike Moore and the Blind Pig Supper Club, Steve Goff owner of Brinehaus Meat and Provisions, and of course, our buddy Adam Thome from next door at 67 Biltmore.

Still details to iron out, however, here's a quick update, exclusive to our Email subscribers at what's shaping up on the agenda so far:

Tuesday, March 13th: Spanish WIne and Asheville Tapas
Tapas and wine... some things are so tightly intertwined, you just can't imagine one without the other! Let's see what happens when we task Adam Thome of 67 Biltmore with creating his idea of the little dishes of Spain for Asheville. We'll pair their creations with wines sourced from Larry's recent trip to Spain.

Tuesday, April 17th: An Evening with local Asheville Importer Jean-Philippe Bourgeois
Year after year, Jean-Philippe's imports have been the foundation of our Rosé selection. We had the pleasure of tasting his new lineup at the beginning of the year and we immediately placed an order! We'll show you that a great Rosé, while terrific on the porch or patio, is also an absolute powerhouse in the food pairing department! If you love Rosé, this is THE dinner for you (ok, ok, so we'll probably toss in a red too)

Tuesday, May 15th An Evening with local Asheville Importer Kate Stamps of Rise over Run Imports
Almost everyone that shops at the AWM knows former AWM Staff member Kate Stamps. We're delighted to welcome her again for another dinner at the shop featuring her marvelous imports. It's truly a joy having another connection to artisanal European wines right here in Asheville. You can bet we'll be working very closely with Kate in the future. For this dinner, we hope to introduce some exciting new wines from the Beaujolais. Stay tuned for more info.

The fine print:
Dinners feature 4-5 courses and each course is paired with a wine specially chosen for that course.  Price per dinner: $79.99 plus tax. Dinner price is all-inclusive, including food, wine pairings, and gratuity.  Seats sell quickly, so call the shop to reserve your spot. A credit card is required to secure your reservation and your card is not charged until the day before the event.  There is a 72-hour cancelation policy.
