The Domaine Longval is located northwest of Avignon on the more rural right-bank side of the Rhône Valley, where marl and chalk soil characterizes the small appellation, Longval has been run by Jean-Claude Garcin and his family for over twenty years. They brought their skills as agriculturalists, nurserymen and winemakers to this historic estate in order to produce affordable, and very high quality wines.

The 2012 Domaine Longval Blanc , a 50% Grenache Blanc, 20% old vine Clairette , and the remainder Bourbelenc and Ugni Blanc blend, offers an amazing amount of honeyed citrus fruit flavors for its lowly price. 2011 Domaine Longval Rouge
The ruby-colored 2011 Domaine Longval Rouge, a tank-fermented and aged blend of 35% Grenache, 35% Syrah, and the rest split between Carignan and Cinsault, offers a gorgeous bouquet of berries, pepper, and spice, a lovely texture, abundant quantities of ripe fruit, terrific purity, and a long finish. A gentle, dry red wine that is totally captivating and delicious. Nice with winter stews and roasts.
