The Rivero family has an extraordinary bond with the Rioja region going back to 1899 when they began making wine in the town of Arnedo. Bodegas Faustino Rivero Ulecia is the family’s original winery, part of Grupo Marqués del Atrio, one of the principal producers of DOC Rioja.
In the 1980s, the fourth generation of the family, Agapito and Jesús Rivero, took over management and moved the original winery from the center of Arnedo into the current Faustino Rivero Ulecia Winery, allowing for a seamless blend of new technology and honored tradition.
