This weekend's tasting selection once again sneaks in between the warm days of late summer and also the cool nights of early providing a selection that will work with whatever weather comes our way!

2016 Parolvini Pinot Grigio - Delle Venezie, Italy
Parolvini has been a family owned and operated winery since 1916 based in Tezze Sul Brenta, about 70 miles from Venice.  We're pretty picky about the Pinot Grigio that we purchase for the shop and we were delighted to recently come across this little gem.  The delicate straw color introduces a soft but still zesty palate and the medium body finishes with a nice clean brightness not often found in the warmer vintages of 2015 and 2016.  Enjoy this one with fish, poultry and especially shellfish.

Regular price here at the AWM: $11.99
Tasting price Friday and Saturday in a case: $10.79

2014 Ponga Pinot Noir - Marlborough, New Zealand

New Zealand's Marlborough region is best known for Sauvignon Blanc, however, there's wonderful Pinot Noir produced there as well.  We fell in love with the first sip of the 2014 Ponga.  It's soft and gentle palate is a beautiful match for autumnal cuisine and also the porch or deck.  Expect bright cherry fruit with notes of tea and spice.  Super with grilled tuna or salmon.

Regular price here at the AWM: $14.99
Tasting price  $13.49

2014 Domaine Pesquié , Ventoux,  Les Terrasses Rouge, Rhône Valley, France

Remarkably consistent in even the most challenging vintages, Les Terrasses Rouge benefits from being sourced from vineyards scattered around the foothills of Mont Ventoux. These protected microclimates are warm during the day and cool at night. Due to their elevation, these sites are protected from stray summer storms that can devastate other parts of the Rhône valley. The limestone-rich soils, where Syrah does particularly well makes for a bright, lively wine with enticing red fruit flavors and aromas of garrigue – thyme and rosemary.  Tons of great fruit that's still lively!

Regular price here at the AWM: $16.99
Tasting price Friday and Saturday in a case: $14.44
