2011 Uvam Mavu Pinot Grigio; Delle Venezie, Italy
This estate is one of the key figures in Delle Venezie winemaking due to state-of-the-art equipment and impeccable professionalism. It is fresh and filled with a lively, pure fruit that has a greater underlying depth than most Pinot Grigios. The wine is superbly balanced and would be at its best with seafood or light pasta dishes. It’s hard to find a nicer luncheon wine than this, especially with its gentle pear and citrus edged fruit and its pleasantly dry finish.

2011 Baglio di Vincenzo Catarrato Lucido; Sicily, Italy
This 100% Catarrato Lucido based wine shows a beautiful golden straw color and offers a very aromatic glassful of pleasure. The nose is filled with tree fruit aromas of peach, pear and almond blossoms. The rich, medium-bodied palate is lively with ripe pear fruit as well as tropical fruit nuances, making this a natural with a variety of fish or fowl dishes. Great with Mediterranean seafood preparations such as tuna, swordfish, and richer seafood pasta dishes.

2011 Baglio di Vincenzo Merlot; Sicily, Italy
This new Italian Merlot from Sicilia is a wonderful wine with bold berry flavors and intense color and richness. Hand picked grapes from the late harvested grapes give this wine a well-balanced structure and elegant tannins. The nicely extracted berry flavors and elegant refinement make this wine easy to enjoy with meats, pasta and cheeses. Another wine that has an exotic character due to where it is grown…we love it.

2010 Casato di Vincenzo Primitivo; Salento, Italy
The 2010 Primitivo is a voluptuous, richly-textured wine. Gorgeous notes of dark fruit, almonds, plums and figs flow from the glass with notable depth and palate presence. This is a superb wine to drink now and over the next year or two with rich pasta dishes, Italian sausages and of course pizza.
