2011 Bidoli Family Pinot Grigio; Friuli-Grave, Italy
The 2011 is a tad racier than the 2010 which was a crowd pleaser. Pale golden-straw in color and almost Chablis-like in style. Lovely floral bouquet  with crunchy hints of ripe apple, peach and pear. Crisp, steely fresh and very elegant, with lots of style. Finishing with a touch of minerality, this is serious yet easy-drinking wine at a very good price. Give it a try! Beautiful with fin or shellfish, herbed pasta salads and even spicy Asian dishes.
AWM Regular Price: $11.99 per bottle
Tasting Special: $10.79 per bottle or $10.19 by the case

2011 Vecchia Torre Rosato; Leverano, Italy
A real customer favorite, this is a beauty and usually sells out quickly, so grab it while it is available. Produced from Negromaro with a touch of Malvasis Nera, the deep pink color ushers in intense aromas of ripe, red and white berry fruits, with notes of Mediterranean scrubland and flowers. The fruit-rich, fresh palate is firm with good grip and length. And it goes with practically everything. Try it with picnic fare, seafood, cured meats, gumbo, and even great just by itself.

2010 Tenuta Canale “Pergolato” Rosso; Tuscany, Italy
A blend of Sangiovese 80% and Cabernet 20%, this versatile, easy drinking, everyday wine is a real winner. Attractive aromas of spicy red cherries, red plums, and spices combine with luscious, dark plum fruit on the juicy, nicely textured, medium-bodied palate. Nicely balanced with a long finish; this truly is a great value. Pasta, pizza or fowl.

2009 Vecchia Torre Salice Salentino; Pulia, Italy
This is the classic southern Italian wine. A modern-styled Salice, this is a blend of Negroamaro (90%) and the rest Malvasia Nera. Exhibiting a dark crimson color and a fresh, fruit-filled nose of red fruits, spicy plum and subtle brown spices, this wine is medium to full-bodied, with a multi-layered, rich, fleshy texture, lots of fruit, and a smooth as silk finish. A delicious bargain, it will offer a robust, gutsy, chewy glass of dry red wine over the next 2-3 years. Try this with roasted meats, rich meat pasta dishes, herbed lamb chops and pungent hard cheeses. It is a wine worth buying by the case.
