New French/Spanish Arrivals – Free Saturday Tasting – Saturday, June 15th., 2013 – 1 to 4pm

Join Mike Kolker for this fabulous tasting of outstanding French and Spanish wines. These wines are a perfect for the warmer months ahead, and are great accompaniments to the fresh vegetables of spring and summer as well as the grilled meats and seafood that seem to be on everyone’s menu. The intriguing blend of Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Rousanne (92pts Wine Advocate) is a great way to start this tasting (richer safron-laced seafood/shellfish). The ripe and tasty rosado from Artazi is another winner and perfect for warm weather. The two Monastrells (both 90 pts.) offer differences because of their geographical origins, yet both offer bolder and richer flavors ideally suited for complex flavored dishes as well as the grilled meats of the season (lamb/burgers/steaks). So come on in and let Mike show you the high quality and broad variety of flavors found in these exciting, affordable, high scoring,  and well-balanced wines.
