The Beers of Unibroue- North America’s first Trappist-influenced Belgian style beer producer

unibroue-fin-du-mondeSince 1992, Unibroue has been crafting unique, bottle refermented ales in the traditional method. Their many beer styles vary widely in all but one aspect: Quality. We are pleased to carry a range of these fine beverages, including the following:

La Fin du Monde– A Tripel-style Golden strong ale that carries notes of honey, spice and flowers on the nose, with a champagne like mouthfeel accompanying flavors of yellow fruit, yeast, and spice. $7.49/750 ml

Trois Pistoles– A dark and rich Abbey-style dark ale that rings in at an impressive 9% ABV. The head is a rich beige foam, with ample roasted malt and dark spiced rum aromas, leading into flavors of chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit. $7.49/750 ml or $2.50/12 oz

Maudite– This strong amber-red ale is redolent of orange citrus, and spices like coriander and clove. With lazy, persistent bubbles lending a creamy texture to accompany the robust maltiness of the beer, balance is achieved on the crisp, hop-driven finish. $7.49/750 ml or $2.50/12 oz

Blanche de Chambly– A classic belgian White Ale, and the first to be brewed commercially in North America. With its creamy white head and lemony citrus and spice character, this is beer that has more in common with Champagne than most ales. $2.29/12 oz

Don de Dieu– The gentle haziness and orange/gold color of this beer belies the intensity of flavor contained within. With honeyed fruit and spice, vanilla, and flowers in abundance on the nose, and a satisfying palate of fruit, nuts, and yeast. $7.49/750 ml

Terrible– A Quadruple ale that is far from what its name implies, this black, nearly opaque beer is thick, rich, and comforting. Fruity and spicy, bringing to mind a good old port. $8.99/750 ml

Ephemere– Brewed with apple must, this Belgian white ale gives off yeasty aromas of spiced apple tart, with the first sip delivering more of the same on the palate. The pleasant finish doesn’t linger overly long, leaving you ready for the next sip. $6.99/750 ml or $2.20/12 oz
